Cali mayor Alejandro Eder has publicly encouraged Colombian visitors to attend the 2026 Feria de Cali as a way to support the city's reconstruction efforts.

Eder stated the 2026 Feria de Cali will be held 25 to 30 December 2026. He has also stated he fully supports Colombia's recently approved Ley de Sometimiento security law.

Cali will host the Colombia vs Chile football match for the first time since 1999. Eder has made an official request ahead of the match.

The Colombian national government has stated the works-for-taxes program will provide significant reconstruction support.
