Opposition leader María Corina Machado has entered Venezuela via the land border with Colombia.

Machado travelled from Panama to Barranquilla, Colombia, then crossed the frontier at Maicao, La Guajira into Venezuela's Zulia state. She announced her return with the public statement 'I'm here. With you.'

This was a public return, following previous failed entry attempts.
